Handling Tips: 45-50°F. Keep cool and
dry.
General Information: known primarily from
creole cuisine, okra is either loved or hated. If not overcooked, okra
can be crispy and sweet. Once cut or sliced, okra releases a rather
slithery liquid that makes it objectionable to some but and excellent
soup or stew thickener. Excellent when steamed, sauteed, fried, stewed,
pickled or boiled. High in vitamin C.
